Careers I would be interested in:
- Pediatric Neurosurgeon
- Pediatric surgeon
- Malpractice Lawyer
My whole life I’ve wanted to help people no matter what and have always had an interest in getting a job related to the medical field. In both all three jobs I like the idea of helping people. In both being a neurosurgeon I get to work with patients and study the brain one of the most interesting and important part of the body. The hardest part of being any kind of pediatric surgeon is dealing with the stresses parents, which is completely understandable, and possibly losing the patient. If I was going to be a malpractice lawyer I get to still work with medical issues and protect doctors who are helping others. Being a lawyer consists of lots of reading and writing which isn’t my favorite but will be worth it in the end.
Major offered at Muhlenberg to help:
- Neuroscience
- Biology
- Physical science
- Public Health
- English
- Both Premed and Prelaw
https://blog.prepscholar.com/what-is-pre-med-requirements-majors This link has a lot of information about premed and its requirements.
I am currently taking the requirements for both Premed and Neuroscience. Even I decide to go Prelaw I still plan to major in Neuroscience. Next semester I am continuing with the Neuroscience and Premed sequence in addition to trying to take an abnormal psychology class.
One major issues with all three jobs is currently the corona virus making everyones job more difficult. Another issue is in order to succeed in all the fields someone needs to have an issue either a sick patient or doctor in need of protection.
